I chill out in the hostel on the 10th and agree to a Panda visit with D&F, D wants to leave early, I negotiate a 8.30. In the morning on my way to get a shower at 7.45 D is looking for me having misunderstood the arrangement. I get to the foyer at 8.03, pretty good. we get there about 9, having been driven by a taxi driver who knows a few words in German, unusual so far.

Panda complex is massive and specially interesting are the panda cobs playing in one section, they are 1.5 years old and great to watch, a little like a cartoon. could have watched and photographed them all day. Adult pandas tend to sleep and eat all day so not terribly interesting to watch. I am pretty pleased I went, could have quite easily stayed in my warm bed, it is not as cold as it has been so we managed to stay about 3 hours.
