Tibet abandoned

Last couple of days have been considering visiting Tibet with D&F. But it seems I wont be able to do it. Timewise I will only have 3-4 days left in China even if I fly all the sections that I would have normally taken a train ride. 

because of the travel requirements we have to travel as a group and I will be tied to them for extra 2-3 days as they intend to visit Mount Everest base Camp and then go to Nepal, which I wont need to do but will have to. This is because you have to travel with a guide all the time and D&F are heading into Nepal and India after Tibet.
