New Delhi again - but only for a couple of days...

Danish or English, I don't know... I'm becoming more and more English, the longer I stay here, so I think I'll write in English. Pictures are on their way. The internet cafe here is nice and fast, so I guess it won't take too long to upload "all" my pictures. I've selected the most important ones from the last two months, but there are still about 40! - it'll take a while, but I guess I'm all for relaxing now, so I'll just bring 'Catch-22' with me and it'll all be fine.

On to something a little more interesting!
New Delhi was great. Or not great, but not as bad as everyone lets you know before going there. Actually, it gets far too much stick. I went there by night train on Saturday-Sunday. The trip was beautiful - I slept like a baby (better than for a couple of weeks) all the way. ;o)
In Delhi I saw the Red Fort, a gigantic structure from around 1650-1700 A.C. with great walls up to 38 meters high. Every evening, they have a Sound-and-Light show which was okay, though very uninspiring in the long run (it was about an hour of a dramatic male voice telling the history of the Red Fort, while different parts of the for were lit in red/green/blue/white).
Walking around Delhi was great - it's a truly fantastic city with everything stacked together in far too little space. Something new to me was the vast amounts of Muslims that were to be found near the Red Fort. The largest mosque in the World is just five minutes ride from the fort, and I think I'll go there when I go to Delhi again in a couple of months.
Funny, I didn't know I was in a Muslim area before a guy offered me beef kababs! BEEF! In India! But there you go, Muslims don't find the cows holy, so why not eat the beasts?

Saying goodbye to the other volunteers in Delhi (and back at the camp in Palampur) wasn't much fun. I am more than ready to travel on my own now, but saying bye to people you've known that intensely for two months isn't entirely pleasant. What was worse was the children at the Mentally Challenged School. God, rough and tough Simon Etches was speechless as he left them there, half of them not having a clue, I'm not coming back! I'll miss the buggers, I really will.

That's all from New Delhi.
Hope your all well, write me - all of you! ;o)
