Finally here. As I've said, it took a lot of hours, a lot of disguting smells - all in all a lot of evil! - but yeah, now I'm here, ready for the Camel Festival.

What is it all about? During the next week or so, about 200.000 people will pass through this very small city. Among them will be traders, tourists, pilgrims, thieves, conmen, snake charmers, men who eat everything from kababs and samosa to sabres and fire, etc, etc, etc. As if 200.000 smelly people isn't enough, there'll be about 50.000 camels and cattle roaming the dunes around the city.

The festival started today. The program is strange, I don't understand what half of it means/is, but there are camel races, dance performances, moustache competitions, etc.! ;o)

I already love it, diarrhoea or no diarrhoea!

Haven't got much to write about it yet though.. Carolina and I are both feeling rather shitty, so today and tomorrow will be about getting better, then the real fun of Pushkar will start. :)

Oh, and hurray for Obama, right?! I'm glad, really chuffed. We don't get much info over here, but at least I was sms'ed when he won! ;o)
